New disaster game from Ubisoft, I Am Alive

I hope I'm alive in time to play I Am Alive. Frankly, it would kind of suck if I wasn't, because the upcoming Ubisoft disaster game is set to come out in Spring 2009.

In I Am Alive, you're forced to navigate a Chicago "left in ruins" after a major catastrophe in the form of a devastating earthquake. Players are required to "think, react and take risks that will directly affect themselves and those around them."

The game is speculated to be helmed by Jade Raymond, the charming producer of hit 2007 title Assassin's Creed. Although there's no confirmation this is a PlayStation 3 title, the game is targeted for release on "current generation video game consoles," and, judging from the below teaser, that's very likely to include the PS3. We'll have more on I Am Alive as it becomes available.

    anyone else not getting this video on their ps3 browsers, i get the audio but not the video...

    looks pretty sweet but looks pre-rendered oh well if they can do it ill be amazed

    wow the game looks amazing. i hope ubisoft doesnt mess this game up like they did with assassins creed!

    Excuse the horrific (not even) pun. When you cover E3 for 15 consecutive hours, your head starts to get a little bit droopy and your writing starts to suck. I'm going to sleep. Dave's taking over now. Starting to write up all his previews and such. Hint: He loved Rock Band 2.

    Wow. Looks like Matt Damon. Oh, and the game looks interesting as well. So long as m$ doesn't decide they want it exclusive to their box, then I'm down.

    Looks awesome. The visual design sticks out with its blend of realistic and stylised elements, and it appears to have a compelling storyline. Looking forward to hearing more about it.

    Glad I'm not the only one that things he looks like Matt Damon. I hope it's a intelligently built game I want gameplay like that video even if it is CG.

    this is probably a target trailer for the actual product, just like Killzone 2. other than that, great trailer!
