PS3 Blacksite delayed by one week in Europe

Midway has announced that the European release of Blacksite: Area 51 for PlayStation 3 has been pushed back one week to March 7, 2008.

The game was originally scheduled for release this Friday on February 29, though for reasons unknown, the publisher saw fit to delay the game by an additional seven days, reports Eurogamer.

Released late last year in North America, Blacksite: Area 51 is a First Person Shooter (FPS), which sees players infiltrating the infamous US Military compound and battling against an assortment of alien creatures.

The game is particularly noted for its strong political commentary, and even includes stages named after various speeches or comments made famous by the Bush Administration during the Iraq War.

    This is by far one of the worst games I played in a long time.  Blacksite and Soldier of Fortune tie for the crown in my book.

    It had huge potential (Resistance-like) but it ended up being lame... a week isnt gonna matter. Im trying to get the guys at EB to replace the promo covers on display with something GOOD (or at least looks promising).

    Please, Midway - delay it indefinitely! We don't want this sh!te on our system! Even it's creator admits it sucks. In fact, feel free to make it a 360 exclusive!

    NO WAY I'm buying this game! I thought the demo was really naff and the fact that online play is gonna be so poor for the PS3 version compared to the Xbox version then you can forget it. It just shows you Midway obviously doesn't give a damn about producing high quality games for the PS3. Midway suck!

    Umm hate to go against everyone here but.I play the 360 version and loved it.Ok it not COD4 or RFOM But I thought it was fun.The kinda game that go like this.Big F**king alien---BOOM.Repeat until end ,dull sounding but it was fun fighting huge aliens and driving the hummer.My opinion mind.
