PS3 Left 4 Dead available to pre-order

The previously-unannounced PlayStation 3 port of Valve's Zombified multiplayer shooter Left 4 Dead surfaced this morning, with several UK retailers listing the game for pre-order.
Play, Gameplay, and Game added the title at the same time - usually a sure-fire indicator that a product exists in the production/retail chain.
Valve's will-they-won't-they approach to PlayStation development has left PS3 owners feeling understandably frustrated following the under-optimised port of The Orange Box, but hopefully this will make amends.
Left 4 Dead is a multiplayer-only title that pits a team of four humans against a legion of player-controlled zombies in a battle for survival, garnering positive pre-release buzz from most of the gaming press.
No word on trophy support or a firm release date at the time of writing.

You guys are setting yourself up for disappointment. Remember, retailers also had MGS4 for 360 available for preorder too. This game is NOT coming to PS3 until something is officially confirmed.

Any PS gamer worth his salt wouldn't even waste his time with this pile. If anyone actually buys this, then they seriously need to wake the heII up. It makes no sense that they release a multiplayer only game for a network they don't have faith in, much less the platform they dislike. Sorry, but they're not fooling me for a second.

I'm sorry, but a lot of you must not have actually looked at this game. The gameplay looks like I digested it and crapped it out and the graphics are even worse. It's a last gen piece of crap that should never be played through a next-gen piece of hardware. Leave Left 4 Dead to the Wii adopters, they could use some crappy ports to actually make them a gaming console. Look up this game and it's gameplay and you see how really F-ing horrible the gameplay is and how horrible the game is all around. The only reason valve won't develop for PS3 is because they can't develop a quality item last gen, so why try and fial and humiliate their lazy butts with the PS3. They say it's too hard, I say they're just too stupid to figure it out and too lazy to even try making a game with higher quality and higher standards. I don't understand how there's so many people here saying they would lov this game, I think it would actually be a blow to the playstation reputation. But that's just my opinion.

guess we'll hear the official announcement at leipsig. but why does everyone hate this game so much anyway. i hate valve too, but i think left 4 dead looks pretty decent. besides, the more 360 games that turn ps3 is always a good thing, even if the games turn out bad.

This game could come out to the PS3, but that is only if EA decided to develop for it. Valve will not be bringing it to the PS3.
