Metal Gear Online receives new game modeRemember when we did a feature on Mass Effects chances of coming to the PlayStation 3 console? It was a really optimistic feature that highlighted the many reasons why the Mass Effect trilogy could end up landing on the PlayStation 3. PSU is not the only one to think this, as it has been a topic of debate ever since EA purchased Bioware a while back.
Michael Pachter, Wedbush Morgan Securities Analyst, has taken his stance on the entire situation by stating he believes that Mass Effect will not remain an Xbox 360 exclusive.
Speaking with a panel of others on Gametrailers, Pachter commented, "Trust me, Electronic Arts, when they threw out the 300 million that is multiplatform that is not 360 only.” And when asked if it will come to the PS3, he finished with, "It has to, I wouldn't be shocked if Mass Effect 1 came to PlayStation 3."
Currently Bioware still labels Mass Effect as an Xbox 360 exclusive. The first game in what is planned as a trilogy is already released with great reviews. Perhaps when it is time to reveal more on Mass Effect 2, will Bioware be able to talk more freely in relation to ME on the PS3.

Yeah I remember him mentioning this with N Gai and the other person who's head of gametrailers on the subject. Well for now its still considered by many to be a timed exclusive, though it isn't out of the question if mass effect 2 became a timed exclusive for the PS3 later on. One can hope to see the light of day with this for the PS3 since this is EA. XD

Who is Michael Pachter? Probably fake... Microsoft game studios was involved with this game... its not like only bioware made the game... on the cover it says microsoft game studios. No way...

If it happens I won't be that shocked since EA ownz them now. But I really don't care either way becuz the western RPG's never did anything for me. I can't see myself choosing this over a FF, White Knight Story, Last Remnant, or Star Ocean 4. I can guarantee you though, that this franchise will be on the PC in the future.
Mass Effect suc a 12 hour generatic boring rpg with tons on issues and bugs ans unplayable gameplay , i dont care about that game keep that trash away from my PS3 pls.
FTW i do see this game coming to PC Lots of MS games turn out to get ported. With more content and better graphics.
Hmm Patcher who has no contact with BioWare, Microsoft and EA and is nothing more than an analyst who quite frankly gets 9 out of 10 of his predictions wrong believes a game Microsoft game studio's purchased the exclusive rights to is going to come to the PS3 a SOny platform. Hmm, let me think... not likely. Microsoft forked out a huge amount of money to secure the exclusive rights to Mass Effect, they aren't going to give them up lightly considering its been such a huge seller for them. It'd be out on the PS3 so long after the 360 version any way that it wouldn't be worth EA paying up to wriggle out of the exclusive contract because of low sales. I'd be very surprised to see Mass Effect arrive on the PS3, what makes my prediction any less worthy or creditable to Patcher's?
i might buy it. only because sony is sleeping on the rpg's which is prolly their biggest goof

Pachter "All 3 companies are joining forces as a newcomer, a 4th gaming system, is on its way and taking a strong hold in all regions previously dominated by Sony's platform as evidenced by reservations selling out in record time." This story is garbage, Pachter is garbage.
I have it guys and believe me....your not missing much. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but if it doesn't come out on the ps3....I promise, you won't lose any sleep!!
They might stagger the games. Put a separate team on porting ME1 to PS3, while the original team does ME2. When ME2 releases on 360/PC ME1 comes out on PS3. Repeat this pattern for ME2/ME3. Whether or not I get it on PS3 will be determined by whether or not I can save up and upgrade my PC before the PS3 version releases.

Since they'd have much mre time to hammer out the bugs, glitches, and screw-ups It'd be better for PS3! I'd grab it. I'm long overdue for a new RPG.
Ah! Mass Effect,you choose a bunch of dialogs,then do some shooting and repeat.360 can keep it,i'm tired of seeing disgusting aliens all the time.

thisis not the first time a company has "thrown out 300 million" and NOT taken away exclusivity. M$ will reimburse them because that's what they do. God I wish people would stop giving Pachter credit like he's some genius. He's not, he's just making wild guesses based on speculation.
In fact when was the last time Bioware EVER msde s game for a sony platform!? exactly! Go to Bioware's site right now. Mass Effect already shows a Games for Windows box right behind the 36* box. that's as far as it will ever get ported.
If MS does reimburse them and its on games for windows yeah then this idea is already out the window then.

yeah, mass effect doesn't look to thrilling. but it's still nice to take away an exclusive from them.
I dont know about ME1 coming to the PS3 but I do think Patchter is a good analysts and ME being owned by EA now ME2 and 3 will be on PS3 unless microsoft comes to some kind of agreement involving losts of money. But I own the first one and it sucks balls anyone who sayas otherwise has never played a good RPG before because although the story is good the game play is very lacking in every aspect.

Id love to play Mass Effect - it is regarded as one of the best games of 2007 right next to Bioshock. Who cares about the politics - this game is welcomed!
this could be interresting on ps3, that's if they fix of all the bugs from the cr@pbox version instead of just porting it.
