PlayStation Eye delayed in Europe?

The European release date for Sony’s latest peripheral, PlayStation Eye has fallen in to question this week, with retail giants Amazon and Play.com both switching their release schedule to show a December launch for the new device.

The Eye Toy successor was originally planned for release this Friday, November 9. However, Play has now updated its schedule, pointing towards a December 7 release, with Amazon also changing the release date to December 14.

Furthermore, popular retail chain GAME UK have yet to even list the device on their website, fuelling yet more speculation to the possibility of a delay.

    Not really that weird...if it's gonna be a while before the Eye comes out solo then people will be more tempted to buy Eye of Judgment...maybe...

    psn id: gingo... i was so hoping it would come out soon because i want it but dont want EOJ but it looks like i'll have to wait a while before i  get it

    hhmmm JD-82 could have a point but that would be pretty harsh, unless EoJ is that terible that Sony need to deploy these sort of tactics. But in reality i doubt that anyone would say "i cant wait for the eye im goimg to go out and get EoJ"

    I wonder what caused the delay in ythe first place? More tweaking perhaps?

    yh i pre ordered with play.com just got an e-mail today it now has been pushed back to late january hope this helps
