This is retarded, i'm not a Xbox fanboy but I think the undisputed winner is Gears in terms of graphics. Sure R2 has depth but c'mon, its gears, its what it's know for. How aout a comparison of Gears VS KillZone.  That's worth watching.

mehh i wasent hyped for gears 2 at all i found the single player not all that, was quite bored by it didnt look all that either i seen better graphics, resistance 2 ill have today and im more looking forward to that and it looks alot better then gears 2 to me

Everyone seems to have got this all wrong. It's Gears of War 1.5, at least Insomniac has made a huge effort on this game. Gears has just had a graphics tweak.

Dont forget that r2 is first person and gow is 3rd. The distance in 3rd person shooters allow lower quality graphics to look much better

i completely agree gears 2 is a tight game but R2 tops it

but R2 absolutley does not seem like "an empty push from kill room to kill room" that's absurd the intel simply adds backstory and extra little hints if you pay attention when you're playing and listen to what the people are talking about in game then you would get the story

I gotta say, I bought R2 and Gears 2 on midnight launches and yes the graphics are better on Gears, but graphics arent everything. I was really let down by a lot of choices and changes in gears this time around. The multiplayer seems to be somewhat broken as well, and all of the glitches from the first one and more are back. Also of note, my 360 scratched the h.ell out of my gears 2 :)

didn't think R2 would come out on top. But that's good to hear. I already pre-ordered R2 and it should be here tomorrow, I can't wait! :D

Still I do think Gears 2 has better graphics, but gameplaywise I definitely think R2 is better.

@ 2 you're an idiot, this is a comparison of games not graphics, and as a whole R2 is better. The single player is whack on R2 he got that right but the MP is yrs better than GOW 2. As far as Gears going up against forget no contest everything about KillZone 2 is better.

Both games are fantastic! R2's story is really good. I think R2 coop is really repetitive and I didn't like the MP. I still play Resistance 1 online though. As for Gears 2, I really enjoyed the game, I think the boss fights are better than R2. I think Gears 2 and R2 are currently the best TPS and FPS respectively. I encourage everybody to play both.

having now played resitance 2 is clearly my preferd game over gears 2, looks alot better and storys better imo, just a better game like i knew itd be, just wasent hyped for gears 2 like i was for R 2
