Sony has poured cold water over the hotly anticipated UK arrival of the PSP-3000 bundles recently announced late last month at the Leipzig Games Convention.
The company said this week that the bundles in question - namely a Silver PSP-3000/Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters and Black PSP-3000/4GB Memory Stick – are only planned for release in Europe, and may never see the light of day in the UK.
In addition, the manufacturer also moved to correct statements made earlier this week concerning the GBP 149.99 price point and October 17 release date, confirming they are in fact for an unnamed bundle release and not the standalone PSP-3000 unit.
As such, it appears that the redesigned handheld will not be sold as a standalone unit in the territory for the next couple of months.
Stay tuned for more information as it breaks.

I've got an 8GB Memory Stick and don't want Size Matters so I'm not really bothered about the Euro bundles. Just want a standalone PSP-3000 or a bundle with PlayStation Store vouchers or something.

Why not wait to see what bundle they ARE offering before getting worked up about it.

I have an inexplicable dislike for insomniac though so I wouldn't touch the silver one anyway. It might have something to do with Ted Price's holier than though attitude though.
150GBP seems quite reasonable if they do indeed bundle it with a card or a game. I suspect that they'll announce something sooner rather than later. I might actually get one if it comes with something half decent.
