Namco Bandai has announced that it will be showcasing an exclusive demo of the forthcoming Soul Calibur IV at the Consumer Electronics Show 2008 in January.

Guests attending the event via special invite will be treated to a fully playable demo of the upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 brawler, in addition to witnessing the unveiling of a brand new character in the title that has yet to be revealed to the general public.

Due out in spring 2008, Soul Calibur 4 will incorporate full online multiplayer functionality for the first time in the series history, and will see the return of a number of veteran fighters such as Sophitia, Seigfried, Taki and Yoshimitsu.

More details are expected shortly, so stay tuned for any further information.
