Square to make "BIG" FFXIII announcement on PS Blog this week

Square Enix’s Antonio Marfuggi has let slip that the company plans on issuing a major announcement in regards to Final Fantasy XIII on the European PlayStation Blog this Friday.
Speaking in a post on the EU Blog today, Marfuggi revealed that eager fans can expect the announcement to begin at 3.30pm GMT, though remained tight lipped on any further details. However, speculation suggests that the announcement will turn out to be confirmation on a European release date for the hotly anticipated RPG.
"Just dropping you a couple of lines to let you know something big (and with “big” I mean “BIG”!) is coming up about Final Fantasy XIII," he said. "… you’ll see a very special announcement from the game’s development team, introduced to you on this very blog by the words of Yoshinori Kitase – Final Fantasy XIII's producer."

"hey there everyone. The big anouncement is we in PAL and NTSC regions will be getting the game before the end of march 2010"

well I wouldn't say a "BIG" announcement would just mean a release date unless that release date meant this year :D then I'll call that a BIG announcement.
Otherwise, nothing really... maybe FF13 ships with Star ocean in eurp?... haha yeah right... something big..... Who knows probably be something "SMALL"

The big new is that they have found a way to make this game equally lame on the ps3 as the xbox360. I am still shocked by all the people that are excited for this game. Gameplay graphics look horrible.

They dont know what BIG news is if it slap them in the face!! Everytime they said they have BIG news, its nothing! SE is startingto piss me off and I dont get pissed off that easy. I mean I forget about them in the line up until they come up in some kind of news. This game better blow me away, which ever one I get( FF13 or FFvs or FF14online) most likely FF13vs andFF14

Any co-op would be awesome. I would love to play this game at the same time as my wife in the living room on our big 50 inch tv.

FLTURNPIKE makes a good point. Where is FF versus ? Why have I not heard anything about the versus? Did MicroSoft pay them to stop development? I also hate the whole "BIG NEWS" ... and it is........"the game will be done someday", SquareEnix are arrogant about ff, they think most ppl will buy it even it it sucks, the bad news is "most of you will"

YOU GUYS I SPOKE TO SQARE ENIX IN AN EMAIL I KNOW WHAT THE ANNOUNCEMENT IS!
They are launching a teaser web page, that slowly counts down over the next few months, once the countdown has been reached, it lists a phone number! You can call the phone number for a minimul fee, and it will give you a special download code for your ps3. The download will be a picture. If you read the picture in the mirror, you will realise its morse code. The morse code of course translates into another web page! Once you navigate to that final web page, it will reveal the name of a new character! OMG!!!!!!

Well the major announcment is you PS3 owners are screwed we're releasing it on the 360 only bye :D
Now imagine how people would react if this was actually the case lol, nah but seriously i think it's just a frickin release date announcment :P
