Suda51/Marvelous Entertainment hint at No More Heroes for PS3

Grasshopper bigwig Goichi Suda (known colloquially as Suda51) has hinted that gory Wii slash ‘em up No More Heroes may be heading to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the near future.

Apparently, Suda feels that the series must make the transition to other platforms in order to ‘expand’ the franchise to new possibilities. He told Edge: “I really want to make NMH a big franchise,” adding, “and with this second episode have bigger success. I’m putting a lot of care into developing this IP, as I feel there’s a lot of potential.”

“I think this is the last NMH that is going to be developed on Wii,” he continued. “To expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we’ve done everything we can with it now.”

In addition, a recent financial presentation by the game’s Japanese publisher, Marvelous Entertainment, indicates that the company may be branching into multiplatform territory in the future, which among other things includes porting some of its Wii back catalogue to Sony and Microsoft's console.

    if it's going to be a direct port from the Wii, I hope they don't try to sell it at the $59.99 price point.  Wii games = garbage non-HD graphics = not worth $59.99.  I'd love to get an updated version of NMH on my PS3, though!

    I'd only get it on PS3 if it was 1 and 2 upgraded to HD, or cheaper, of course.

    This is one of my favorite games ever. The Wii game was amazing.

    With trophies this would be a day 1 buy for me.

     is it any good for the wii never played but...im sensing most hack nd slash sutis the wii because of its motion senser unless u like button mashing..ps3 is gettin no more heroes..hope its good nd a new version2

    lol, he said he has done everything he can with the Wii.  Its about time he brings this over.  The Wii is not for mature games.

    I have it one the wii good game. when the new ps3 wand comes out, I would like for the makers of red steel to do a remake on the ps3.

    Omg was this the best Wii game they have. I played and beat No More Hero's and glad it's coming to the PS3.

    hmmm no more heroes rules but the european version has no blood... BUT if its put on the ps3 it will have blood so this is a buy for me

    well obviously you guys have done everything u can with the wii, but they have no hardcore gamers, 90% of the wii people are casual gamers that buy the crappy wii games that you see in the bargain bins like NinjaBread Man, EA Active, Chicken Shoot, etc.

    They're probably thinking "oh the wii has outsold 360 and PS3 combined, we can sell millions with our game!!" WROOOONNNNGG

    NMH and MadWorld would have done great on PS3 or even 360. Unless NMH was a fitness game on wii, it won't sell past 1 million copies

    I Just want to play Arc Rise fantasia and Oboro Muramasa  on Ps3 like i did with Odin Sphere on Ps2 and Princess Crown on PSP

    If they kick the graphics up to HD quality.  And build a new story.  This would be a killer game!  Had it for the Wii and loved every second of it!

    The only Wii games i want to play is Metroid Prime 3 and House of the Dead OVERKILL.

    i've never played this game but it was one of the major games i wanted for the wii, so it would be sweet to get an updated port of the game.
