Ubisoft has released the official and limited edition box arts for the PlayStation 3 version of its forthcoming Assassins Creed title.

For those of you unaware, Assassin's Creed is an action-adventure game taking place during the Third Crusade, in the year 1191. Gamers will assume the role of an assassin named Altaïr, a member of the Hashshashin sect whose mission is to kill nine historical figures propagating the Crusades.
Players will travel throughout 3 major cities from the time, including Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus. Assassin's Creed is being developed by Ubisoft's Montreal studio and is due out November 9, 2007.

I liked the Limited Edition's box art better. I find the whole "One guy standing in a blurred crowd as if everyone was moving very quickly" thing to be cliche. I don't like it. But it's a box art... no one really looks at box art unless they didn't know about the game, even when you have it among your collection, you only see the spine of the case.

Agreed. Any of the extra stuff that will be put on a Limited Edition gets put online, anyway. Let's face it, it's all put up in the web once someone gets his hands on it.

eh they're alright. they should have had him perched on some roof looking down on the crowd since he is supposed to be like a bird of prey. oh wellz...this game better live up to the hype even after seeing the disappointing demo.
