One of the years most highly anticipated shooters; the PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament III has slipped from a November launch, but may still see a release for this year.
During an interview with Mark Rein, the Epic Games Vice President hinted that the title might be released on PS3 in time for the Christmas holidays. The title has attracted much controversy surrounding its release on Sony’s console, given that the events preceding delay had it pinned down as a PS3 timed exclusive for the remainder of the year.
There has been no formal statement since then as to when the game will release, but many were beginning to question if the timed exclusivity will remain in tact, until Rein confirmed it in a forum post over at Epic.
During the interview, Rein reaffirms his earlier statements, claiming that the game is very close to completion, and will release soon. He even goes as far to say that if its done at the right time, a Christmas launch is not unreasonable.
The game releases on PC this month and Xbox 360 sometime early next year. Only time will tell when the game will hit the PS3 but be assured that PSU will keep you informed on any and all updates as they become available.

@vfitz22:
This game was delayed before just so that you know; they are now announcing that it might not be delayed so much so you shouldn't be disappointed, you should be happy that you might get it before what they initially speculated. -
