Resident Evil: Extinction due out in January

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will be bringing Resident Evil: Extinction to Blu-ray, UMD and DVD from January 1, 2008.
The Blu-ray and DVD editions will feature a plethora of bonus content, including a commentary track, deleted scenes and four making-of featurettes, of which The Big Bang: Shooting Resident Evil: Extinction and Vegas Visual Effects: Miniatures featured. The UMD version, however, doesn’t appear to include most if not all of the above.
In related news, Sony also confirmed that the Resident Evil Blu-ray trilogy boxset will be released the same day, containing the original Resident Evil (2002), Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) and, of course, Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) The bundle will cost USD 89.85.
Extinction chronicles the events of series veterans Alice, Carlos and L.J, along with newcomer Claire Redfield, as they attempt to survive in a world populated by flesh eating zombies, following a global outbreak of the Umbrella Corporation’s infamous T-virus.
