Supposed Dead Rising 2 footage rounds the net

Last week Famitsu interviewed Capcom's Keiji Inafune about the possibility of a Dead Rising 2. Inafune confirmed that the title was in development, though this was later determined to be a miscommunication through translation; however, a new viral video has been making the rounds on the net claiming the former.

The video contains various pieces of information from the first title in the series, which seems to add validity to the leaked footage itself. During the "trailer," the zombie outbreak has apparently been halted by a new form of vaccine, yet that vaccine ultimately fails, unleashing a new wave of terror on mankind.

While the video is shown via a shaky camera and with dodgy YouTube quality, it's safe to say that this is something to look forward to if real.

We've included the video below.

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll add in the first game for those of us Playstation users that never got to play it.

    Here's hoping!

I played the first one on a friend's 360, and that's one game I can say I am jealous of. Really excited about the second (possibly/definitely?) coming to the PS3.

i personally did not like the first one, it got boring really fast, and the characters were kind of annoying, but i wouldn't doubt if we did get it and i understand how people like it (heck if they put it on the PS store or something for 20 bucks id get it just for those occasional zombie bash fests), capcom and sony have been really close lately and are at least building a tight relationship

I'm with the majority so far: 1st one on PS3, or the second one won't happen for me.

Capcom is just reminding everyone who had the first zombie game in this generation while everyone is talking it up with L4D =P

First of all the viral video looks homemade, ok its a style but thats all just content from the original.

Also I played this game for a while on my 360 and got a little bored, none of the zombies really presented a threat unless you let them. After playing Left 4 Dead you see where they went wrong in Dead Rising. Hopefully the sequel will be more of s survival game than the original

     actually strudel

L4D is the game who strayed from the original concept of zombies cause as we all know zombies are slow and stupid, hence the term walking dead, but the fear from them arise from there numbers.

i also played this game and i honestly can say it gave me the feeling that i was to survive  in a mall infested with zombies and maniacs .

easily one of the best zombies game ever.hope it comes to ps3 cause my x360 doesn't have much juice left

Capcom SHOULD include DR1 & 2 on the same disc. Make use of that extra space. This is the only 360 exclusive that I go nuts over. It looks like it takes place in multiple locations. Casino, neighborhood, streets

The shaky cam was obviously intentional, this video is real. I played the first on my brothers 360 and only wish i had it on PS3, i am stoked about this game.

The first game SHOULD have been one of my favorite games but the terrible save system was not fun.  Developers should leave options for the consumer where it comes to something as simple as a save system.  Checkpoints are fine and we do live in an era of hard drives.  Dead Rising is a game I want to give a 5 out of 5 but the difficulty coupled with only a couple save points made for a frustrating experience that I do not want to live again in a sequel.

The only thing that even remotely makes me think it's real is the american gladiators ball thing they show the character running around in for one shot but if that's in the first game then the whole thing is fake.
