PS3 getting Evangelion title

An ad on the back page of the booklet for the Japanese Blu-ray release of Evangelion reveals that Cellius, the joint company between Sony Computer Entertainment and Namco Bandai, is developing a game based on the Evangelion anime exclusively for the PlayStation 3.

The ad has a Namco Bandai Games logo, the same company that is releasing the action adventure Evangelion PlayStation Portable game this summer. Cellius is headed by the father of PlayStation, Ken Kutaragi.

We'll be sure to give you more information as it becomes available.

Frankly, I think Ken should be rehired to work on the PS4.  I'm not sure geeky mad scientists make the best producers.  They sure give weird press conferences.

This should at least be an olay game.  Just think of the effects and gameplay elements an Evangelion game could have on a 4th or 5th gen PS3 game engine.

The fact that it has Ken Kutaragi as its head means i will have to check this game out, dispite all the whiny angst that eva is.

So wait does it actually SAY Cellius or is this just an assumption because there's a bandai logo on a PS3 exclusive? Seriously you have to really try to define this because it's more than just an Evangelion game announcment if you're correct, it's confirmation the cellius really is an active game developer now, because for the past 2 years they have not been anything.

It says Cellius but I haven't seen confirmation that it's a game.

Most likely NOT a game...rather more like ToroStation / Mainichi Issyo (PSN-Japan's interactive daily RSS feed with 2 cats hosting it)

Add to that, the insert clearly says:

"The new shape of news broadcasting"
    "Katsuragi Misato Broadcasting Project"
"Will change news on the PS3"

    EvaStation?

Evangelion was a horrible anime with an even worse ending. Unless they explain the story of the anime better in the game, the game will make no sense.
