SEGA has staple-gunned a North American release date to Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, confirming the hotly anticipated platformer will be released on PlayStation Network on October 12. A European launch will follow the next day.
Sonic’s latest outing will set you back $14.99 USD/£9.99 GBP and marks the series’ return to the classic side-scrolling antics of the speedy hedgehog’s 16-bit glory days on the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive.
The game was previously slated for a summer 2010 release but was pushed back to allow for more development time.

To be this good takes AGES (SEGA)
Judging by what they have shown, you'll get at least 3 worlds with 3 acts each. I'd imagine some sort of Final Act also. Its not bad.
