Sniper: Ghost Warrior, the critically panned but nonetheless popular shooter that arrived on PC and Xbox 360 earlier this year, is coming to PlayStation 3 in early 2011, announced developer City Interactive today.
Players can look forward to a host of new features for the PS3 release, including enhanced visuals and gameplay tweaks, plus a heap of exclusive content such as all-new single player missions, bonus multiplayer maps, fresh multiplayer modes (Capture the Flag & Hard Core difficultly mode), two additional sniper rifles (L96 & M200 Intervention) and bonus single-player challenge.
Speaking on the decision to bring the shooter to Sony’s flagship console, City Interactive head honcho Marek Tyminski commented, “Sniper: Ghost Warrior was our most ambitious project to date and although it was extremely well-received by players, we wanted to ensure that the PS3TM version took the franchise to a higher level.”
“With exclusive content and modes, we are eager to introduce the best sniper game on the market to PS3TM owners sometime in Q1 next year.”
