The PS3 is still the king of living room entertainment since now -- along with Netflix and Music / Video Unlimited -- Sony has officially brought Amazon Instant Video to your PlayStation. This makes the PS3 the first console to ever support the service.
The app is free, and easily downloadable from the XMB under the TV/Video Services column. Boasting “more than 120,000 commercial-free movies and TV shows for rental or purchase,” the app will allow you to browse through a rather impressive library of content. Amazon Instant Video even offers some TV show episodes the day after they air.
Amazon Prime members will also be glad to hear that there are 17,000 items available for the low, low price of free for those subscribed to Amazon’s premium service (which also grants free 2-day shipping when you order from their website).
Take a look at the video below, courtesy of the PlayStation Blog, and see Jeff Rubenstein give the app a whirl.

'm excited for this... I've been using Apple TV but the prices are simply outrageous. Its just lunacy to pay what they're charging to watch TV.
I like Netflix, but the selection here in canada is Horrible. Hopefully Amazon can offer better... I'm already a Prime subscriber and curious to see how the experience is on the PS3. -
