Are you someone who likes to try before you buy? We don’t blame you. PlayStation Plus subscribers will get to try CounterStrike Global Offensive as a timed trial (60 minutes of the full game) the same day the game releases. It will download automatically overnight on Aug. 20 and you can play it on release day on Aug. 21.

This special demo is not available in the PlayStation Store; it’s only for those special Plus members. Make sure you have automatic updates on. In the XMB, go to Settings, System Settings, and click Automatic Updates. It’s as easy as that.

On the morning of Aug. 21, the game will be waiting for you to check out. If you like what you try, you can buy it for yourself. The game is part of PSN Play. The more PSN Play you buy, the more store credits you get back.

Check out our preview to learn more about the game.

Shame the demo isn't coming out a day or two earlier, as by the time August 21st rolls around it will be too late to pre-order and get that exclusive static theme.
