Tekken Tag 2's World Tekken Federation will be free on release

Tekken Tag Tournament 2’s World Tekken Federation online service will be available free alongside the brawler this September, Namco Bandai has announced.

As a comprehensive premium online service, World Tekken Federation gives fans the opportunity to track personal statistics, manage teams with friends, take part in online events and discuss strategies via a sprawling social community.

Everyone who purchases a copy of the hotly-anticipated beat-'em-up title will receive a free membership into the Federatoin.

Namco Bandai Games America’s vice president of marketing, Carlson Choi, commented: “With  TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2, the team is committed to providing an unparalleled fighting game experience and are proving our dedication to this effort by offering  World Tekken Federation  free of charge to everyone who buys a copy of the game.”

“Bringing together  TEKKEN  fans from around the globe in such a robust online community is a first for the fighting game genre and will give veterans and beginners a chance to develop their fighting skills in an exciting new way.”

Tekken Tag 2 is scheduled for release in Europe on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 14, 2012. The game arrives in the U.S. on September 11.
