Namco Bandai has announced that the PlayStation 3 title One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 will be localized for release in Europe sometime this summer. This should come as no surprise as the first game brought in a lot of booty having sold over 1.2 million units worldwide. There is no word on the PlayStation Vita version of Pirate Warriors 2 at this time.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 will follow the New World story arc as players take control of various Straw Hat Pirates crew members like Luffy, Zolo, and Sanji in a Dynasty Warriors-esque experience. In addition, previously unreleased stages such as Skypiea and new characters including Eneru will be found in the game.

In celebration of the first game's sales achievement, from December 12 through 26, the first One Piece: Pirate Warriors will receive a discount on it's digital release and on all the downloadable content released so far in Europe.

Check out our review to see what we thought about the first One Piece: Pirate Warriors. Let's hope the sequel has the series sailing to new heights.

@1 Are you kidding me? how often is it that the US gets something AFTER the EU?

and your whining about not getting it first?  i consider this a fecking miricle that it got released here first for once!  normally you get games weeks before us, so for once suck it up and wait, just like we have to do with nearly every game EVER!

(hell im still waiting on Retro city rampage, you guys have had it about a month so far)

What are you talking about, It was an afterthought here. They released it in Japan and quickly said it was going to Europe. I'm not whining about wanting it first, I'm whining because they didn't even feel the need to give us a hard copy of the game than gave it to us extremly late like America doesn't have any anime fans or something. I really wanted this game physical, I had to have 23gigs free before I could even download it lol
