Namco Bandai has confirmed a delay of one week for the European release of Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.

The vibrant PlayStation 3-exclusive RPG was originally pencilled in for release on January 25, 2013. However, it will now be released on February 1.

Apparently, the delay is down to logistics, Namco said on Twitter. However, as a means of apology, the publishing giant is offering a free gift in the shape of the downloadable Draggle familiar, which can be nabbed upon release.

"Sadly this is an issue we no longer have control over," said Namco. "Our apologies."

"It was a difficult decision to take as our options were limited, we are sorry for the delay,” it added.

Presumably the U.S. version of the game is still scheduled to launch on January 22. If that changes however we’ll be sure to let you know.

Stay tuned.

How many devs or publishers do you know would compensate their consumers with a free gift? Especially for something as little as a one week delay?
