Visceral Games’ sci-fi horror sequel Dead Space 3 has secured the top spot on the U.K. All Format Charts following its launch last Friday.

The game’s release pushes Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch down to sixth place, ending the JRPG’s chart reign after just one week.

However, launch sales of Dead Space 3 were down by 26.6 per cent in comparison to Dead Space 2 back in 2011.

Elsewhere, it’s the usual contenders making up the Top Five, with FIFA 13 having a kick about in second, Call of Duty: Black Ops II camping in third, Far Cry 3 at four and Hitman: HD Trilogy at five.
