Earlier today, Square Enix confirmed that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX--a remastered package of three early titles in the series' chronology--will launch in North America and Europe this fall. In short, today was already the single greatest day of my life. And yet, somehow, it just keeps getting better - Amazon.com is now taking pre-orders for the North American version of Square's first HD collection.
That's right, you can reserve your copy of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX right now for $39.99. Amazon's September 30, 2013 release date is a placeholder, but Kingdom Hearts games have a habit of releasing in September, so you may just get your copy before then. HD 1.5 ReMIX will introduce trophy support and high definition alongside a host of new gameplay features and content. The latter comes courtesy of Kingdom Heart Final Mix, a special edition of the series' debut formerly exclusive to Japan.
HD 1.5 ReMIX will also include a remastered version of Re:Chain of Memories and the cutscenes from 358/2 Days (which released on Nintendo DS in 2009).
Sound off with your excitement (or apathy) in the comments below. Will the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX ease the pain of waiting for Final Fantasy Versus XIII? Couldn't care less about either? Let us know, and check out our game gallery for the latest Kingdom Hearts images.
