Ubisoft to stop making PS3 games by 2015

Written by –

In an interview with GameInformer, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed that the company willl stop supporting the PlayStation 3 by 2015, in order to decrease costs.

Guillemot said how Ubisoft’s plans to lower its overheads.

"Part of this reduction in cost is really coming from the fact that this year we had to create games for many platforms, next-year we’ll start to reduce that, and after that it won’t happen. And so we, what we feel is that what we will do is create games for in the next two Christmas for the current generation, but there’s a chance we stop after that. We won’t stop all the games, but most of the product will be next-generation."
