Kingdom Hearts 3 release date and gameplay trailer rumour as secret logo appears

UPDATE – It’s in this video where TheGamerJoint talks about an E3 2015 trailer. The one below shows how he discovered the secret logo.

Original Story

The release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 on PS4 and Xbox One is unlikely to be this year, as a recent list of PlayStation games due for release in 2015 fails to mention Square Enix’s much-anticipated, action role-playing adventure.

It looks likely then that the release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 will be 2016, though it’s still officially unconfirmed. What’s really interesting is that a YouTuber by the name of TheGamersJoint claims to have found evidence that suggest that a Kingdom Hearts 3 gameplay trailer will be shown at E3 2015, which could also be the platform from where Square Enix reveals the launch date.

The YouTuber says that he’s found a logo hidden within the HTML code of the Kingdom Hearts 3 website, which he explains in the YouTube video below.

By pressing F12 on your keyboard while on the Kingdom Hearts 3 homepage, we see this image…a hidden Kingdom Hearts 3 logo made up of various keyboard characters.

Now, this is JUST a logo, and though it’s a pretty cool Easter Egg, we’re not sure how fans of the series are arriving at the conclusion that a release date announcement is imminent, and a gameplay trailer is coming to E3 2015, but it’s certainly not out of the question.

In recent weeks, Bill Farmer, the voice actor for Goofy in Kingdom Hearts 3, said that the game would be released in 2015, though Square Enix quickly debunked his claims. All we do know for sure is that we can expect an extensive cast of old and new characters, and a sequel that ties up many of the loose ends from the franchise

It does make sense that Square Enix will use E3 2015 to showcase more of Kingdom Hearts 3. The game was first announced at E3 2013 with a teaser trailer, where the developer also revealed that it would be the first time the franchise would be coming to Xbox One. Back then, Tetsuya Nomura didn’t seem too happy that the game had been announced at this particular stage, claiming it was too early in the development cycle. Surely though, they must be ready to reveal it to the world?
