PlayStation 4 owners can make payments to the PlayStation Store without a credit or debit card thanks to Paysafecard.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe announced the partnership with Paysafecard a couple of years back, bringing its prepaid online payment solution to the PlayStation Store in 19 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy.
What is Paysafecard for PS4?
On the official paysafecard website, creator Paysafe Group plc, describes its service “as simple and safe as cash.”
Commenting on the partnership, Udo Müller, CEO of paysafecard, said: “Partnering with the giants of the digital world is one of our primary goals, which is why I am so pleased by this development. It also serves as recognition of our vision and of our product as a secure and convenient payment method and will make it possible for millions of customers to pay with paysafecard.”
The details of Paysafecard have now been added to the list of approved methods of payment on the PlayStation Store.
Sony writes:
“Prepaid means that you buy a paysafecard from one of 450,000 sales outlets available and use it to make safe online payments without a bank account or credit card at 4,000 participating online webshops. Paysafecard is a popular payment method with service providers in the fields of gaming, social media and online communities, music, film and entertainment and more.
Paysafecard is a prepaid card that lets you pay safely online. Payments are made without entering any personal information or bank or credit card details.”
Paysafecard can be used directly via the PlayStation Store on PS4, or via the PC browser version of the store.

How To Add Paysafecard To Your PSN Account On PS4
- Add funds to your Paysafecard by going to Settings > PlayStation Network > Account Information > Wallet > Add Funds
- You’ll generate a 16-digit pin code
- To buy from the PlayStation Store, go to Add Funds when you’ve made your selection
- Select Paysafecard, choose the relevant amount and press continue.
- Enter your 16-digit pin from Paysafecard.
