Capcom to make 3 major announcements at TGS

The Tokyo Game Show is a trade event in which many major videogame developers congregate to show off their latest titles to the press, as well as the public. With the downsized E3 that took place earlier this year, TGS 2007 may just be the biggest gaming convention in the world. Appropriately, one Japan-based developer has said that they will make three big announcements at TGS this year.

Originally reported by Australian gaming site Gameplayer, Capcom is set to make three major revelations that could cause shockwaves within the industry. Gameplayer received this information during a sit down session with Devil May Cry 4 at an event called Active Asia 2007.  While the site did not give away the announcements, they did hint at what is to come.

“While we are not at liberty to divulge what these announcements will be at this time, we’re busting at the seams with excitement and wishing we could let the information flood out. But we’re sworn to secrecy, so all we will say is that Capcom have some of the biggest franchises in gaming history tucked away in their stable, and not a few smaller ones that deserve more attention.”

So what does this mean for PlayStation 3 and possibly the PSP? We can only hope that these three big announcements will be beneficial to Sony in some way or form. Stay tuned to PSU as next week we will bring you full coverage of the Tokyo Game Show 2007.
