PSP-3000 sells over 140,000 in four days

Not much we can add to that headline, really. Sony’s latest PlayStation Portable model, the PSP-3000, has sold 141,270 units in Japan since its launch on October 16.

By our reckoning that means the new PSP has sold more per day so far than the DS Lite sold in the entire week ending October 12.

PSP-3000 sales made up the vast bulk of overall PSP sales (155,720) for the week October 13-19. Guess the Japanese really like that new screen then.

Cheers to Famitsu and Kotaku for the info.
