At the Consumer Electronics Show 2014 in Las Vegas, president and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Andrew House announced the PlayStation 4 has sold 4.2 million units.
These PS4 sales figures are as of December 28, 2013 and show the console has a sizable lead over Xbox One’s current sales of 3 million consoles. Sony is also less than 1 million units away from hitting their target of 5 million PS4 sales by the end of the fiscal 2013 year in March.
