The latest Chart-Track data has confirmed that FIFA 16 has topped the U.K. All Format Chart following its launch last week, dethroning Destiny: The Taken King in the process.
Despite nabbing the top spot, sales of the latest entry in the ubiquitous footie franchise were down seven percent on last year’s FIFA 15. In terms of platforms, the PlayStation 4 edition of FIFA 16 took the biggest chunk of sales with 45 percent, followed by the Xbox One version with 36 percent. Xbox 360 and PS3 ate up just 13 percent and six percent, respectively.
The sales figures only take into consideration physical copies of FIFA 16, although since digital sales aren’t available here, there’s no telling just how well the game performed in terms of downloads. Elsewhere on the charts, Destiny: The Taken King falls to second place, followed by Forza Motorsport 6, Skylanders Superchargers and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

We reviewed FIFA 16 over the weekend and came away rather impressed to say the least. The soccer outing is the first entry in the series to introduce Women’s National Teams, which have been requested for some time now. Those of you who are planning on getting the game for last-generation hardware should be aware that this particular version lacks some of the content seen in the PS4 and Xbox One editions. Unlike previous years, FIFA 16 has not seen a release on PS Vita.
