Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta now coming December 3 for Uncharted Collection owners

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has announced on Twitter that the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End multiplayer beta has been brought forward to Wednesday, December 3 at 5.00pm GMT exclusively for owners of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PlayStation 4.

Previously, the online teaser had been scheduled to go live on December 4, although Uncharted Collection owners will now be able to enjoy the beta a day before anyone else. Uncharted 4 developer Naughty Dog previously confirmed a host of new details on the multiplayer during a Twitch stream overnight. The studio also revealed that the beta client will weigh in at around 7GB, although you won’t be able to pre-load the file.

Uncharted 4’s multiplayer was officially unveiled during Sony’s Paris Games Week press conference in October, and it was later confirmed that the online mode will run at 900p/60fps on the PS4. Naughty Dog previously teased that the multiplayer will ‘surprise some people,’ though admitted it doesn’t have any firm plans in place for Uncharted 4’s single-player DLC.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is scheduled to ship exclusively for PS4 on March 18, 2016. The game takes place a few years after the events of its critically acclaimed predecessor, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and sees Nathan Drake on the hunt for a legendary pirate’s treasure. His globe-trotting journey will take him to a variety of locations including Madagascar and will reunite the fortune hunter with his long-lost brother, Sam. Elena Fisher and Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan will also be along for the ride.
