Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has confirmed that the mega-publisher will be attending this year’s E3 “in a big way.”
The executive told the latest issue of MCV (via VideoGamer) that the company will have a big presence at the Los Angeles-based games show, which is pretty significant considering it traditionally gives E3 the elbow in terms of appearances.
What isn’t known, however, is just what the company has up its sleeves for the event, though considering Take-Two has a number of major publishes under its belt—including those responsible for Borderlands, BioShock and Grand Theft Auto—we could be in for a treat come June.
Right now, Take-Two has three announced games in the pipeline: Mafia 3, Civilisation Revolution 2 Plus and Battleborn. However, we know that Gearbox Software is working on a third instalment in the Borderlands franchise, and there are rumors that BioShock will make the jump to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the shape of the BioShock Collection.
Beyond that, chatter on Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to gather pace, although nothing official has been confirmed in regards to the Wild West action-adventure sequel. However, Take-Two continues to tease the prospect with confirmation of unannounced titles currently in the works.
E3 kicks off on June 14, so stay tuned for more info.
