Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 announced for PS4

Capcom has announced that it’s bringing Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The publisher dropped the news in light of Trophies appearing for a PS4 version of Dead Rising over the weekend, suggesting a remaster of the 2006 action title was in development.

Indeed, this is the case, although it’s also being joined by both Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. Both games are also coming to Xbox One in addition to PS4.

No additional details were provided on the games yet, although presumably both titles will receive some visual improvements given their age. Capcom has promised it will share more info soon, however.

Dead Rising was originally released on the Xbox 360 back in 2006, and was later ported to the Wii in the shape of Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop. Dead Rising 2 followed in 2010 and was the first (and to date, only) title in the series to see the light of day on a PlayStation console.

Capcom released Dead Rising 3 as an Xbox One-exclusive back in 2013, and is currently working on the fourth instalment in the franchise for Microsoft’s system.
