With the PS4 Pro console’s release just around the corner, Crystal Dynamics has released a video explaining the technical enhancements for Rise of the Tomb Raider.
For starters, Rise of the Tomb Raider for PS4 Pro comes with three different visual modes: 4K Resolution, high frame rate and enriched visuals mode.
4K
Thanks to the power of PS4 Pro, Rise of Tomb Raider will be rendered at 4K resolution. The increase in resolution offers much more visual detail in textures, effects and specular highlights.
High Frame Rate
This mode supports up to 60fps frame rate, offering smoother animation and tighter controls at 1080p resolution
Enriched Visuals
This mode renders visuals at 1080p, whilst bringing in a slew of visual enhancements such as Hardware tesselation, Anisotropic Filtering, Additional Dynamic Foliage, Increased Level of Detail, Sun Soft Shadows, Cinematic Hair and Improved Depth of Field.
