New Overwatch character Orisa released today

overwatch orisa

Blizzard Entertainment is rolling out a new Overwatch character today in the shape of tank hero, Orisa.

While the developer has yet to confirm the Osira release time for those of you chomping at the bit to download the patch, we can probably expect it to be made available in the late afternoon/early evening U.K. time, possibly around 6.00pm GMT going by past experiences.

Orissa is a robotic, tank-like character produced by Efi Oladele, and is capable of operating rom mid-range rather than on the front life. Armed with an automatic weapon sporting a massive ammo clip, Orisa is able to project barriers at locations while laying down holding fire.

In addition to offering up a new character, the Overwatch update also implements a number of key changes, such as Bastion’s turret damage being reduced from 35 percent to 20 percent. Looking beyond this, the Overwatch update 1.10 will introduce a number of changes for Lucio, with the update currently testing on PTR. See below for a list of changes.

  • Sonic Amplifier: Projectile speed increased from 40 to 50; Alternate fire now considers vertical orientation when knocking targets back.
  • Crossfade: Song’s area-of-effect radius decreased from 30 meters to 10 meters (a temporary in-game visual has been added to illustrate this radius, only visible to Lúcio and his teammates).
  • Heal Song: Healing-per-second has been increased by 50 per cent (also applies to Lúcio’s Amp It Up ability).
  • Sound Barrier: Radius decreased from 30 meters to 20 meters.
  • Wall Ride: Movement speed increased by 30 per cent when wall riding; Lúcio now receives a burst of speed when leaping off a wall.
