Ability to pre-load games coming to PS4 in April?

PlayStation 4 gamers may soon be getting the ability to pre-load games on their console for instant play on release day, according to a Tweet from InFamous: Second Son developers, Sucker Punch Productions.

The Tweet, seen below, shows the developer answering a question from a fan regarding the ability to pre-download games before release, to which they answer that the ability is to be included in an April update.

As it stands, gamers are only able to download their games once they’re released, which can be an annoyance given the downloading and installation times associated with the practice.

The news comes merely days after it was announced that an upcoming PS4 update would include the ability to remove HDCP for video sharing, as well as the much-touted ability to save shared photos to a USB.

Will the ability to pre-download PlayStation 4 games before release be a welcome addition to you? Or are you still firmly in the physical copy camp? Let us know below.
