Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Reveals How You Switch Between Male And Female Eivor

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla developer Ubisoft has revealed exactly how players will switch between the male and female versions of protagonist Eivor during the game. Unlike Odyssey, you’ll be able to jump between both genders at will, rather than picking one at the beginning of the game and sticking with your choice.

The male and female version of Eivor are both considered canon, so it doesn’t matter which gender you pick during your session.

The process is done simply by accessing the Inventory tab on the menu screen, after which a button prompt seems to send you to a Data stream selection option. Here, you’re greeting with images of both the male and female Eivor, where you are then able to select which gender you want to play as bias the Select memory-stream prompt.

More details on the process can be seen in the video embedded below.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is slated for release on November 17 for PS4, PC and Xbox One, and will also launch for the PS5 and Xbox Series X when those platforms are released. A free PS4 to PS5 upgrade is also available.

Ubisoft recently said that it won’t be charing more money for the next-generation versions of its key software this fall.
