Freshly-published data from NewZoo has revealed that pack-in PS5 game Astro’s Playroom was the most-played title on Sony’s new home console in North America during the launch period. Also performing well were Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales and Demon’s Souls, both appearing in the Top 10.
Much like the PS4, Sony’s strategy is geared more towards triple-A story-driven gaming experiences, something which Miles Morales offers in spades. Out of three games mentioned above, Miles Morales is the only one available on PS4 and PS5.

Astro’s Playroom scored a whopping 52.6% of the player share at number one, while in terms of third-party developers, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (the second most-played game) and NBA 2K21 (coming in at number four) also made an appearance.
The PS5 was released in the US and UK on November 12 and November 19, respectively, and Sony confirmed that it resulted in the biggest hardware launch in the company’s history.
