Larian Studios has released a new update for Baldur’s Gate III today adding PS5 Pro support to the critically acclaimed fantasy-RPG. These improvements offer a boost to the Quality and Performance modes for Baldur’s Gate III, and the split-screen mode is now able to run at 30 FPS or 60 FPS depending on the graphics setting you have selected. Baldur’s Gate III was released for PS5 in September 2023 following the PC release the previous month, and the game was a huge success with critics and gamers alike. In fact, it picked up so many awards that it affected development, as members of the team were having to attend events to collect awards. Despite the game’s success, Larian Studios is moving away from the franchise and Dungeons and Dragons as a whole for its next project.

IMPROVEMENTS
- On PS5 Pro, Quality mode now runs at native 4K (2160p) 30fps.
- On PS5 Pro, Performance mode will upscale from 1440p to 2160p 60fps.
- Split screen on the PS5 Pro will now offer either 30fps or 60fps depending on whether you’re using Quality or Performance mode.
CRASHES AND BLOCKERS
- Fixed an issue on PS5 preventing you from downloading or subscribing to mods when loading into another player’s multiplayer game with mods enabled.
