Battlefield Battlefield 2042 EA News PS4 PS5

Battlefield 2042 Originally Included ‘Earthquakes, Tsunamis And Volcanos,’ Says Leaker

Leaker Tom Henderson has revealed that Battlefield 2042 developer Ripple Effect Studio cut the likes of earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanos from the first-person shooter prior to release.

According to a post by Henderson on Twitter, the developer decided to put these extreme environmental hazards on the chopping block in favour of focusing on the twister, which was the only one to make the final cut. The cut elements were originally showcased during a Summer 2020 presentation for Battlefield 2042.

Battlefield 2042 was released in November 2021 for PS5, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One Unlike previous entries in the series, this latest offering eschews a solo campaign in favour of large-scale multiplayer battles, featuring 128 players on new-gen consoles.
