Battlefield 5 has got one developer very, very excited

Battlefield 5 has yet to emerge from cover ahead of its rumored holiday 2016 launch, but if Battalion 1944 Executive Producer Joe Brammer is anything to go by, gamers have reason to be excited for the sequel.

Brammer Tweeted over the weekend that "I’ve seen things #BF5 things and I am beyond excited,” before promptly pulling the message offline. However, NeoGAF was quick to spot the tease before it was pulled.

Electronic Arts has previously announced that it’s working on a new Battlefield game, and that it will be returning to its military roots following the deviation that was Battlefield Hardline. However, it hasn’t confirmed anything regarding the game’s setting.

That hasn’t stopped rumors from gathering pace however, with the latest gossip suggesting the next Battlefield will be taking to the trenches of World War I.

Hopefully we’ll hear more on Battlefield 5 at E3 in June.
