Blind Squirrel Games Is Working On A New Action-Platformer From “A Hugely Popular IP” For Consoles And PC

Blind Squirrel Games has a huge resume, so much that there’s a high likelihood you’ve experienced its work, even if you didn’t know it.

Blind Squirrel Games is the team behind the Bioshock: The Collection set of remasters, the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, Sonic Colors Ultimate. It’s also been a co-developer on a number of beloved titles like God Of War (2018), Sunset Overdrive, Prey and more.

Now, according to a job listing (spotted by MauroNL on Twitter) the studio is hiring for “a new action platform game” that comes from “a hugely popular IP.”

The game is being made for PC and consoles, and it looks like it’ll be made using Unreal Engine 5. Beyond that, there’s no indication of what it’ll be.

What’s exciting about this news, is that a quick look through Blind Squirrel Games previous partners and its previous work means that this project could be, well, a lot of things.

It could be a new entry in a series long dormant. A new action platforming Jak and Daxter anyone? At least for PlayStation fans, that would qualify as “hugely popular.”
