Masaaki Yamagiwa, producer on several key Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio (SIE Japan Studio) titles including the critically acclaimed Bloodborne, has announced on Twitter that he is leaving the company.

SIE Japan Studio has seen a number of departures in recent months, including Keichiiro Toyama, the creator of the Silent Hill and Gravity Rush franchises, as well as Demon’s Souls remake and Astro Bot Rescue Mission producer Teruyuki Toriyama.
Bloodborne was released for the PS4 back in March 2019, and recently received a full-on PSOne makeover.

Folk are still holding out for a Bloodborne PS5 update or even a full-on remaster, but Sony hasn’t announced anything at the time of writing.
