505 Games and ArtPlay have confirmed that a Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night sequel is happening, but noted the project is still in the ‘very early planning stages.’ As such, the game won’t see the light of day anytime soon.
A follow-up to the Castlevania spiritual successor was first mentioned in a financial report published by 505’s parent company, Digital Bros.
This quickly gained a lot of attention, resulting in 505 and ArtPlay issuing a joint statement on the matter:
Regarding recent reports, 505 Games and Artplay are in very early planning stages for a Bloodstained sequel. However, current development resources are focused on completing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s upcoming content. We have a lot planned for you.
