Sony Interactive Entertainment Russia has blocked the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered in the country on PlayStation 4.
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered Not Launching In Russia
While it isn’t explicitly stated, it’s very likely that the game is being blocked from Russia due to the inclusion of the game’s controversial ‘No Russian’ mission, which sees players experiencing a terrorist massacre at an airport.
Despite this, the game is still slated for release on PC and Xbox One, according to a translated Tweet (via CharlieIntel).

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is exactly what it says on the tin – a spruced up version of the 2009 military shooter’s single-player offering. Those looking for the multiplayer portion of the game will be left disappointed however, as it’s not happening.
However, it looks like those of you hoping that the trilogy will be completed on modern platforms are in for some luck: a reliable leaker has revealed that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is in the works.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was originally released back in 2009 for the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360. You can read our review of the game here.
