While it isn’t explicitly stated, it’s very likely that the game is being blocked from Russia due to the inclusion of the game’s controversial ‘No Russian’ mission, which sees players experiencing a terrorist massacre at an airport.

Despite this, the game is still slated for release on PC and Xbox One, according to a translated Tweet (via CharlieIntel).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is a completely fictional 2009 campaign, recreated in HD quality. SIE decided not to sell the game in the Russian PS Store. We look forward to the release of the game in digital form for the PC in http://Battle.net and on Xbox consoles.
