Activision looks set to lift the curtains on then highly anticipated Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 — which is all but confirmed to be this year’s Cal of Duty game —next week.
Folk are so convinced it’s Modern Warfare 3 that they have been posting their own art work on social media admits reports of the game leaking on the packing of Monster Energy drinks and what-not. Activision, seeing these efforts, has now weighed in with its own ‘art work.’
Clearly having a bit of a laugh, the publishing giant posted an image ‘Modern Warfare Redacted?’ Featuring an image of a stick man with a gun. It then revealed it would be sharing more “next week” but wouldn’t elaborate any further.
Activision previously announced that Call of Duty 2023 would be announced during a special in-game event for Call of Duty Warzone, which the publishing has already done for previous entries in the franchise. Just last month, the company said that development of this year’s Call of Duty game was ‘proceeding well.‘
A few weeks ago, developer Sledgehammer Games strongly hinted that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was in the works at the studio in an update to its company logo.
