Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is getting a Beta. There are a few details as to how to get into the Beta, when it starts, and the PS4 exclusive Beta.
When Is The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta?
There are two Betas being held for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on the following dates:
- September 12-13 – PS4 beta (Pre-Orders Only)
- September 14-16 – PS4 open beta (Open To Everyone)
- September 19-20 – PC, Xbox One (Pre-Orders Only), PS4 (Open To Everyone)
- September 21-23 – PC, Xbox One, PS4 (Open To Everyone)
Crossplay will be available across PC, Xbox One, and PC from September 19 onwards. Obviously, it will not be enabled for the PS4 only week. The game will feature ‘input matchmaking’. So, players will be put together based off of whether they are using a controller or mouse and keyboard.
How To Get Into The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta?
You can get into the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta first by pre-ordering the game on PS4. The game will then open up to all PS4 players a few days after.
The second weekend of the beta will be available to everyone on PS4. But, those on Xbox One and PC will need to pre-order to play first. A few days after that, everyone on Xbox One and PC will be able to play the Beta, with everyone on PS4 as crossplay will be enabled.
A bunch of new Multiplayer details were revealed during the Multiplayer reveal event. We learned that the mode will not feature symmetrical maps, but will instead focus on realistic environments. On top of that, the mode can support up to 100 players. You can rewatch the reveal event here.
