Call of Duty Modern Warfare III publisher Activision has already started pull numerous multiplayer maps from the game due to poor spawn points, despite the fact the game only came out today.
The Quarry map in particular was one of the main offenders, as it constantly spawns players in the same place when played on Hardpoint mode. As such, the opposite team can simply wait around in the spot and dispatch them easily as they spawn.
As such, Activision has removed Quarry from Hardpoint playlists due to “unfavourable spawns,” and has also done the same with Rundown and Scrapyard. Meanwhile, the publisher also revealed that it had given the chop to Karachi from the Cutthroat playlist “while we work to resolve an issue causing a player to spawn alongside enemies.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is out today for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. A report earlier this week claimed that the first-person shooter was developed in just 16 months (most Call of Duty games have three years in the oven), although creator Sledgehammer Games issued a statement revealing it is “incredibly proud” of the title amidst widespread criticism.
