Remedy Entertainment has revealed during the company’s Capital Markets day results that Control 2 will take the form of an action-RPG, although didn’t go into any further details on the highly anticipated sequel.
Speaking back in August, Remedy announced that it had partnered with Annapurna Interactive in a deal that will see the latter provide 50% of the funds for development of Control 2 in exchange for the film and TV rights to Alan Wake 2 and Control.

At the time, Thomas Puha, Remedy’s Communications Director, said that the development for Control 2 was ‘full steam ahead‘ but said it would be a while before we hear any more details on the game and Condor. While not much about Control 2 is known at this point, it does appear that Alan Wake 2’s The Lake House DLC features a teaser for the game.
Control 2 is currently in development presumably for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, with a release date yet to be announced.
